Worship AVL: A Leap of Faith – Faith Community Church
Diversified developed a specialized AVL solution for a state-of-the-art sanctuary of worship in Perth, Western Australia.
From a Sunday service in a rented school hall to a wholly-owned church facility, Faith Community Church has reimagined the way communities worship. Located in Willetton, Western Australia, the more than 6,000 square meters Faith Community Church features a 1,400-seat auditorium plus 400-seat and 200-seat multi-purpose halls, classrooms and a studio. Diversified was engaged by PACT Construction to design and install the overarching specialist AVL solution for the Church, including production and audio visual technology systems, performance, lighting and recording technologies, digital signage and unified communications.
“Following a standard design-and-build package proposal, we conducted a series of workshops exploring the audio, video and other technologies within a budget they had in mind,” explains Diversified Western Australia sales manager, Ryan Agostini. “From the outset, our task was made a lot easier as the church knew what they wanted and were interested in a high-performance AV system that was value for money.”
The overarching production and AVL system, delivered by Diversified, helps to foster the Church’s highly capable in-house venue technicians in world-class production and recording capabilities.
“The video package focuses on standard HDBaseT HDMI and SDI signals being transported to the rear control room and ensuring that all the content sits on the network for streaming onto the internet,” comments Agostini. “We added full editing capabilities, providing recording and editing functions for streaming to a larger audience.”
This has been a vital component in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic where in-person worship services have been heavily impacted. Faith Community Church has been able to thrive during this time, with a smooth transition to online streaming services that reached their community (locally and globally) and united them safely in a time where connection has been needed more than ever.
