Adhering to ADA Guidelines for Maximum Technology Accessibility

Technology helps connect people, so it’s important to design solutions for maximum accessibility for all users. As key members of Diversified’s design services team, Todd Allinger, vice president of technology and design services, and Crystal Balthrop, architectural liaison, work with clients every day to ensure that the technology and functionality of a room meet the appropriate ADA guidelines and compliance.

“We have learned through the years that it’s so much easier to be proactive, designing to ADA compliance, than reactive and trying to fix something that is a problem,” says Allinger.

From walkway clearances with digital signage to BYOD (bring your own device) assistive listening systems in auditoriums, it’s important to make sure technology is creating the desired experience for every user.
