Colorado Rockies Blaze HDR Trail

Integrate HDR Videoboard Control Room

SVG News features recent upgrades for the Colorado Rockies at Coors field which ranged from club-level to clubhouse renovations. The most impressive change is the mountain-sized, 8,369-sq. ft. 1080p LED videoboard that is the first HDR-capable board installed in a sports venue. Driving the new display is an integrate HDR videoboard control room by Diversified.

According to Mike Meglathery, Diversified Product Manager, “The desire was for the control room to convert any inbound sources that are not HDR as soon as they hit the room. Then all production is done in HDR end-to-end: all cameras, all recording, all original and edited content is HDR.”

“Diversified did an amazing job as our integrator,” says Kent Krosbakken, Senior Director, in-game entertainment and broadcasting, Coors Field. “We are very happy with the job they did from beginning to end.”

In addition to the integrate HDR videoboard control room, the Rockies also upgraded five ribbon displays and speakers. Diversified also worked behind the scenes on upgrades for the Rockies post-production team which included updates to the media asset management (MAM) and storage infrastructure.
