Leavitt Partners, a healthcare business consulting firm out of Washington, DC, was started by Mike Leavitt with one goal in mind—to bring clarity to the rapidly changing healthcare system in the United States. As former secretary of Health & Human Services, Leavitt understands the importance of effective communication in solving complex problems for his clients and sought a turnkey technology solution.
Diversified was selected to provide AV and structured cabling systems design, scope of work and implementation based on our extensive experience and BICSI-Certified RCDD engineers. Diversified’s Structured Cabling team installed, terminated, labeled and tested dual CAT6 voice/data cable drops for the offices, zoom conference room and workstations using a Berk-Tek/Leviton Cat6 CMP solution. Then, the Advanced Visual Environments team got to work on a zoom conference room solution that would fit Leavitt’s internal needs and be flexible enough for rental of the space to the public.
The AV solution Diversified provided covers a multi-purpose room, conference rooms, reception area, offices and café. In the multi-purpose room, an operable partition separates two rooms so that they can function independently or together as one large conferencing space. When divided, both rooms accommodate local presentations, audio conferencing and video conferencing via Zoom. When combined, the rooms operate as one system to accommodate a larger number of conferencing participants and simplify the user experience.
Because the room is available to the public for rent, and not all organizations use Zoom, Diversified provided Polycom hardware that is compatible with Zoom via Zoom Connector. The Polycom hardware is also compatible with standards-based video conferencing endpoints such as other Cisco or LifeSize and can connect to third-party bridging services or virtual meeting room providers such as BlueJeans. Lastly, all monitors provided are capable of displaying video content in UHD/4K; however, Diversified configured the system for versatility to support video sources with lower resolutions such as HD/1080p.
