Jon Pannaman joins Diversified to provide thought leadership on emerging technologies
Diversified, an industry leading technology solutions provider, is proud to announce that Jon Pannaman has joined the ranks of the executive leadership team as the new Senior Vice President of Emerging Technologies.
Today’s digital transformation is presenting unprecedented challenges for the marketplace. Diversified not only has a keen awareness of these looming challenges, but the ability to help clients navigate the digital minefield ahead. “In order to address the evolving needs of our clients as they seek guidance to define and implement their media technologies and advanced workflows,” says Kevin Collins, President and COO, Diversified, “we’ve created a new position, SVP of Emerging Technologies.”
Jon has been at the forefront of the digital revolution for more than 20 years—both from the manufacturer and end user perspective—making him the perfect executive for the job. Before joining the Diversified team, Jon spent 10 years with ESPN, starting as a senior director and working his way to Vice President of Content and Production Systems. He established himself as an industry thought leader, defining their digital strategy as well as investments in technologies and workflows. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Quantel, ultimately serving as CTO, North America.
Harnessing his years of experience, Jon will focus on the highest level of emerging technologies — evaluating trends, qualifying their value, and managing their implementation. “During my time with ESPN, I had the opportunity to develop the first fully IP media production and ingest infrastructure,” says Jon. “The advantages were transformative, and I look forward to bringing those same benefits and more to other industry players as part of the Diversified team.” As technologies continue to progress, he’ll also play a vital role in consulting with Diversified’s engineering organization as they increasingly offer IP based solutions to meet changing market demands.
