When MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets, sought to replace its aging IPTV system, Diversified was engaged to help. As one of the sports industry’s top technology solution providers, Diversified was charged with delivering the largest Tripleplay solution implementation to date with respect to the number of display locations in one venue and it had to be done within a tight timeline of only eight weeks.
Ultimately, the client's goal was to successfully move from Cisco’s StadiumVision to TriplePlay, a leading solution provider for secure and encrypted IPTV, video streaming and digital signage. This upgrade provided enhanced user control, performance and an elevated experience for the stadium’s fans. Additionally, the project encompassed high-visibility involvement from the Jets and Giants ownership.
Diversified designed, installed and configured the TriplePlay IPTV system, bringing online more than 2,100 HD displays throughout the stadium including team locker rooms, the press room, VIP owner suites, lounges, concession stands and more. Each display has the ability to provide a unique fan experience and receive more than 70 channels of cable and broadcast TV programming along with custom in-stadium channels. Additionally, upgraded Crestron and Cisco IP phone control systems were provided for the owner suites for an enhanced experience across the board.
Through strong, effective communication with both the client and key project partners, Diversified was able to deliver within the aggressive eight week timeline and debut the new system before the stadium’s pre-season kick-off. The newly deployed TriplePlay platform has been showcased for numerous professional football games as well as other high-profile events such as the Rolling Stones concert and Real Madrid MLS games.
