AV Network | Statue of Liberty Museum Brings History to Life with Panasonic Projection

Diversified and Panasonic Partner Together to Deliver Immersive, Memory-making Projection Solution

When the new Statue of Liberty Museum opened in May 2019, it welcomed guests from around the world into a truly immersive journey into the history of the Statue of Liberty and the American Dream. The first experience finds guests in an immersive theater to view an awe-inspiring short film designed to engage and excite the audience for the rest of their journey.

In order to accomplish this goal, the project team had to customize the projection solution to expertly deploy a precisely blended image onto a uniquely structured surface. With floor-to-ceiling projection onto three curved, asymmetric screens, guests are immersed in history that’s larger than life.

“When you’re standing in those rooms, and you’re looking at historic footage, or a drone shot of the statue at night, it’s really breathtaking,” said Diane Toland, project director for the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.
