Leveraging decades of experience, Karl Paulsen serves as Diversified’s Chief Technology Officer,providing subject matter expertise and innovative visionary futures related to advanced networking, IP-technologies and more. 

Karl is a Life Fellow of the SMPTE, a SBE Life Member and Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer. He has authored hundreds of articles highlighting industry advances in cloud, storage, workflow, and media technologies, contributed to NAB Engineering Handbooks, and published three books on storage and video server development. For over 25 –years, he has continually featured topics in TV Technology Magazine–penning the magazine’s Storage and Media Technologies as well as its Cloudspotter’s Journal columns.   

Karl routinely participates in the VSF, AMWA, and SMPTE’s standards efforts. As the curator of Diversified’s IP Roadshow, he travelled around the world educating the industry on changing IP applications, demonstrating and training users and systems-designers in the interoperability of SMPTE’s ST 2110 IP standards and applications.
