Diversified, a leading global technology solutions provider, has received SCN’s Install of Year Award for their work at Globe Life Field. Home to Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers and host to the 2020 World Series, Diversified partnered with design consultant WJHW and the Rangers to outfit their new stadium with a crowd energizing concert-level sound reinforcement system in the seating bowl, AV systems in the concourses and suites as well as broadcast cabling, IPTV and a SMPTE ST-2110 video production control room to deliver a major league fan experience.
"We needed somebody who was not going to be afraid of a challenge," says Chris DeRuyscher, senior director of ballpark entertainment for the Rangers. "From our control room to the audio system to all areas of the project, Diversified was a tremendous partner." With a predominantly fan-free 2020 season, Chris noted, “I'm just excited to get people in here and show off all the great work that's been done.”
While the stadium will hopefully greet many more fans in the 2021 season, Globe Life Field’s technology investments were still able to make a dramatic impact on the games broadcasted this year by creating a high-energy environment, complete with simulated crowd noise to accompany the cardboard cutouts that filled the stands.
"Globe Life Field was an exciting project that was able to showcase what Diversified is built for: one hand to shake and take on all those scopes," says Chris Sullivan, vice president of business development for Diversified's Sports and Live Events team. "That made it simple for the Rangers."
Globe Life Field is a prime example of Diversified’s unique value proposition they offer clients—an extensive portfolio of technology solutions and services delivered by some of the industry’s leading experts.
