Diversified, a leading global technology solutions provider, proudly announces it has been named a 2020 AV Technology Award winner for the Venue Project of the Year. Following a record-breaking number of entries, the company was shortlisted in three categories. Standing out among the best in the professional AV industry, the company’s work at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia was crowned a project category victor.

The AV Technology Awards were created to showcase the people, technologies and project collaborations that are pushing the boundaries of innovation in pro AV. Having taken place virtually this year due to constraints of the current global pandemic, award winners have been announced over the last three days spanning numerous countries and technology installations across various industries. This major win not only speaks to Diversified’s innovative approach to technology solutions but also solidifies its place as a truly global organization.

“To win the AV Technology Award for Venue Project of the Year against so many outstanding, global projects is so meaningful for our company,” said Kevin Collins, Diversified’s president and leader of its international operations. “Our goal is to be the best at what we do and industry awards like this inspire us to keep pushing forward.”

The priority for the audio upgrade at MCG was a return-on-investment via an outstanding fan experience that would continue to attract millions of visitors and the best in sports and entertainment.

“The MCG is Australia's most iconic sports and entertainment stadium,” adds Andrew Morrice, leader of the company’s operations across the country. “As head contractor on the stadium’s technology upgrades, our team is not only extremely proud to win this award but also, to have delivered an audio infrastructure that provides fans an exceptional game day experience and intimately connects them to the drama, performance and excitement on-field.”

The new audio experience at MCG was finished in December of 2019 and officially launched to the public at the Boxing Day cricket test match. Diversified continues to provide event and technology support with a dedicated team of technicians and is currently helping MCG prepare to reopen to the public.
